Sea Turtle Sighting and Stranding Reporting Signs for Waterfront Homes and Businesses in Southern California:

Waterfront homes and businesses located anywhere between Santa Barbara and the US border with Mexico are invited to host a Sea Turtle Awareness sign to help protect the West Coast's sea turtles from accidental boat strikes, entanglement in debris, and fishery interactions.

Signs must be placed within clear view of the water so that boaters, fishers, and those on, in, or near the water can read the information printed on the sign.

​Yellow "SLOW for Sea Turtles" signs are free, due to a generous donation from the US Navy. All we ask is that the host for the sign shares a clear, in-focus photo with SoCal Sea Turtles showing that the sign is clearly visible from the water, or on a fishing pier or boat launch site.

​Our NEW bright blue "Have You Seen Me?" Sea Turtle Sighting and Stranding Reporting Signs are also available for a $100 donation to SoCal Sea Turtles, Inc. to cover printing and shipping costs.

SoCal Sea Turtles developed these stickers in partnership with NOAA to ensure that every person on, in, or near the water in CA, OR, & WA has access to the NOAA Sea Turtle Stranding Hotline Number and the SoCal Sea Turtles sea turtle sighting reporting form on a high-contrast, water-resistant sticker. Each sticker comes with a FREE informational brochure all about our local sea turtles and how everyone can help protect them!

​Remember that there are no fines or other penalties for reporting accidental harm to sea turtles - we just want injured turtles to get medical attention ASAP to give them the best chance at survival.
